Ie Island ferry ｜ Cruise calls ｜ Minna Island
Two ports, a few minutes apart.
Motobu Port is where the ferry to Ie Island runs from, and cruise ships call there too. Two kilometres north, Toguchi Port is where boats leave for Minna Island. They are separate ports close to each other, so write the port name as your pickup in the booking form. If you book a Cruise Transfer, both ports are in the Pickup Terminal list. We come to either.
Most of this work is timed around a boat. We wait at the port for your ferry or ship to come in, and from there we can take you sightseeing or straight to where you are staying. We can also get you back in time for a departure, so let us know the sailing time.
First, about the fare.
Bookings from Motobu Port and Toguchi Port start at 42,000 yen. That is the same fare even if we only take you a few minutes down the road, because the fare is based on time rather than distance. The reason is set out in our FAQ.
In return, you can get out anywhere on Okinawa Main Island and the fare does not change. Somewhere close by or somewhere further out, it is the same. You can also stop at several places before we drop you at your hotel.

Charter fares are time-based at ¥7,000 per hour (¥3,500 per additional 30 minutes booked in advance). Extensions made after departure are ¥4,200 per 30 minutes. Admission, expressway tolls and parking are charged at cost. For charters of 6 hours or more we take a 30% deposit when you book, and the balance is paid on the day. Minimum booking times depend on where you start: from 3 hours in the south and central area, 4 hours in Onna Village and 6 hours in the north, and 8 hours for trips that cross between the south and the north. Where a long transfer is involved, the transfer fare for that stretch is the floor for the price. From 26 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 (New Year holiday period), the minimum charge for charters is ¥56,000.
Where we meet you
If you are arriving on the scheduled ferry, we wait on the road in front of the Motobu Port ferry terminal.
For a cruise ship or another unscheduled sailing, it depends on how the shipping company runs the call that day. If there is a stand for pre-booked cars we use it; if not, we wait somewhere easy to find, with a name board. We also send you the vehicle number plate in advance, so look for the car by its plate.
Driver's Notes
For the scheduled ferry I park on the road in front of the ferry terminal and wait there.
For a cruise ship or another unscheduled sailing it is a different spot, about 159 m away.
It depends on how the shipping company runs the call that day: the pre-booked stand if there is one, otherwise somewhere easy to find.
The guest has the number plate in advance, so they find the car. Same arrangement as the Second Cruise Berth.
Frequently asked questions
Is there still a fare for a trip just outside the port?
Yes. Bookings from Motobu Port and Toguchi Port start at 42,000 yen, and that is the same fare for a drop-off a few minutes away. The fare is based on time rather than distance. In return, you can get out anywhere on Okinawa Main Island.
What does the 42,000 yen cover?
It is the charter fare. Expressway tolls, parking and admission fees are charged separately. It is the fare for one vehicle carrying up to five people, so for a party of five it works out from 8,400 yen each.
Can you meet the Ie Island ferry when it arrives?
Yes. Tell us the sailing and the arrival time and we will be at Motobu Port for it. For the scheduled ferry we wait on the road in front of the ferry terminal.
Can you also collect from Toguchi Port for Minna Island?
We can. Toguchi Port is about two kilometres from Motobu Port and the fare is the same. In the booking form, write Toguchi Port as your pickup, or choose it from the Pickup Terminal list if you book a Cruise Transfer.
