Frequently Asked Questions
FAQ
Booking
How do I make a booking?
You can book through the booking form on this site, WhatsApp, or email. Please tell us your date, pick-up time, pick-up location, destination, number of passengers, and number of bags.
Is my booking confirmed as soon as I send an enquiry?
No. Your booking becomes final only once we have checked availability and sent you a confirmation.
Can I book on the same day?
Yes, if a vehicle is free. We give priority to advance bookings, so same-day requests cannot always be accepted.
How far in advance can I book?
We accept bookings several months ahead. Once your dates are set, we recommend booking early.
Can I hold a date tentatively?
As a rule we confirm a booking once you have agreed to the details. We do not hold dates for long periods.
Can I change my booking?
Changes are possible depending on availability and our schedule. If your time, party size, or itinerary changes, please contact us as early as you can.
Will you contact me before the day?
Around the day before your ride, we confirm the meeting point and how we will find you.
Can I book on behalf of family or friends?
Yes. Please give us the passenger's name, contact details, number of people, and number of bags in advance. For bookings arranged by a third party, we may ask for a deposit.
Fares
What does the charged time cover?
All fares on this site are time-based charters. The time counted is the whole period the car is held for you. That includes the ride itself, the hour or so we wait beforehand at the airport or your hotel, the time we cannot take other passengers, and the drive back from your drop-off point to an area where we can work again.
Is the fare per person?
No. Fares are per vehicle. Within the seating capacity, the base fare does not change with the number of passengers.
How do I find out the exact fare?
We check your pick-up point, destination, hours, date, and itinerary, then send you a quote in advance.
Can extra charges arise after the quote?
Extra charges may apply if the itinerary changes, the hours run over, or the ride moves into late-night or early-morning hours. On a charter, toll roads and paid parking are added at cost. Flat-rate airport and hotel transfers already include expressway tolls.
Are expressway tolls included?
Fixed transfer fares, hotel transfers included, already cover expressway tolls. For charters they are normally paid at cost. We state which applies in your quote.
Is parking included?
Not as a rule. Where paid parking is used, the actual cost is charged.
Is there a charge for luggage?
There is no extra charge for ordinary suitcases and hand luggage. Please ask us in advance about oversized or unusual items.
Do fares change late at night or early in the morning?
A surcharge set by law applies during late-night and early-morning hours. If your ride falls within those hours, we tell you when we quote.
Can you give a discount?
No. Taxi fares in Japan are approved under the Road Transportation Act, and charging anything other than the approved fare is not permitted.
Is there a discount for return trips?
Taxi fares in Japan are approved by the authorities, so we cannot discount freely. We quote each leg based on the journey itself.
Is there a child fare?
Fares are charged per vehicle, so there is no separate child fare.
Are quotes free?
Yes. Quotes are free.
Why is there a minimum booking time even for a short trip?
The fare is based on time, not distance. If we come to a port in the north of the island, for example, it is about two hours each way from Naha. Add the time we wait for you and the time we hold open for your booking, and we are working for around six hours even when your own ride is short. In return, the fare does not change wherever you get out on Okinawa Main Island within that time, so you can visit several places before we drop you at your hotel.
Payment
When do I pay?
Normally on the day of your ride. We take a deposit when the booking runs to 6 hours or more. That covers sightseeing charters, and transfers where you would like to stop somewhere along the way and the trip comes to 6 hours or more. Under 6 hours, no deposit is needed. The deposit is 30% of the fare, taken when you book, and you pay the balance on the day in cash, by credit card or by another method. It is due within 48 hours of the payment link being sent. If it is not received by then, we cannot guarantee that the car will still be available on the same terms. We may also ask for a deposit at our discretion, for example for multiple vehicles or bookings made by a third party.
What payment methods can I use?
We accept cash, credit cards, and the main cashless payment services. The deposit is taken through PayPal or Wise. If neither is available in your country, we can take the booking without a deposit, provided you send us an image of the photo page of your passport and we can reach you on WhatsApp. We ask that you do not cancel.
Can I pay by credit card?
Yes. The major credit cards are accepted.
Do I have to pay in Japanese yen?
Payment in the vehicle is in Japanese yen. For the deposit, some payment services let you pay in your own currency.
Can I have a receipt?
Yes. Please ask when you board, or let us know beforehand.
Can you issue a qualified invoice for Japanese consumption tax?
If you need one, please check with us when you book.
Cancellation
Is there a cancellation fee?
For charter and sightseeing taxi: free up to 8 days before, 30% of the fare from 7 to 2 days before, 50% the day before, and 100% on the day. For transfer services such as airport, hotel and port pick-ups: free up to 2 days before, 50% the day before, and 100% on the day.
What if my flight is cancelled?
If we can confirm your flight was cancelled, no cancellation fee applies. We refund or reschedule instead, so please contact us as soon as you know.
What happens in a typhoon or bad weather?
If we cannot operate safely, we may have to suspend the service or ask you to change the itinerary. We check road conditions and whether facilities are open, and safety comes first. No cancellation fee applies when a typhoon or similar event makes the service impossible.
Do I get a refund if we finish early?
Where the hours are shortened for your own reasons, we cannot refund the difference.
What if I am late for the pick-up?
The hours are counted from the start time you booked. If you are running late, please contact us as early as you can.
Vehicle
What kind of vehicle will pick me up?
A Toyota Alphard.
Can I request the newest Alphard?
We operate a late 30-series or a 40-series Alphard. We can note your preference as a request, but cannot guarantee a particular year or model.
What colour is the vehicle?
Normally a black Alphard.
Can I smoke in the vehicle?
No. The vehicle is non-smoking.
Can I eat and drink in the vehicle?
Drinks and light snacks are fine. Please avoid strongly scented food, soups, and anything likely to soil the interior.
Can you carry large luggage?
How much we can carry depends on the number of passengers and the size of the suitcases. Please tell us how many bags you have and their size when you book.
Can you carry golf bags or a stroller?
Usually yes, though it may not fit depending on the number of passengers and your other luggage. As a guide, five golf bags and five large suitcases will not fit together. Please let us know in advance.
Can I leave my luggage in the vehicle while sightseeing?
Yes during a charter. Please keep valuables with you. We cannot take responsibility for theft, loss, or damage to items left in the vehicle.
Passengers & Children
How many passengers can you take?
Up to 5 people as a rule, infants included.
Do children count towards the passenger number?
Yes. Please include infants in the number you give us. Japanese seating-capacity rules may apply, and we also take child seats and luggage space into account.
Can you take a group of 6 or more?
Not in one vehicle. Please ask us about arranging more than one.
Do you have child seats?
Infant seats, toddler seats and booster seats are available free of charge. We can carry two at most, and we take this as a request rather than a guarantee. The child seat requirement applies to children under six, and taxis are exempt from it under Japanese law.
Do I need to ask for a child seat in advance?
Please tell us when you book. Knowing the age, height and weight of your child lets us bring the right seat. We may not be able to arrange one on the day.
Which way does the child seat face?
Infant seats are fitted rear-facing. From toddler seats for children aged one and over through to booster seats, all are forward-facing. Tell us the age on the day of travel and we will bring the right one.
Can you provide more than one child seat?
Two at most. Please tell us how many you need and the ages of the children in advance.
Naha Airport Transfers
Where do we meet at Naha Airport?
We wait in the arrivals lobby of the domestic or international terminal holding a name board. We send the exact meeting point the day before.
What if my flight is delayed?
If you have given us your flight number in advance, we track the flight and adjust the pick-up time. Free waiting time is provided for up to 60 minutes from the actual arrival time of your flight.
Do I need to tell you if my flight is delayed?
If your flight number has not changed, we will normally track it ourselves. Please do contact us if you change flights, connections, or airports.
Will you wait while I collect my luggage?
Yes. After your flight lands we wait until you have collected your bags and come out into the arrivals lobby.
Can we start sightseeing straight from the airport?
Yes. We arrange this as a charter that combines your airport transfer with sightseeing.
How early should I leave the hotel for my flight?
It depends on where you are staying, the day, the time, traffic, and whether you are flying domestic or international. We check your flight time and suggest when to leave.
Can you handle early-morning flights?
Yes if a vehicle is free. A late-night or early-morning surcharge may apply.
Hotel Transfers
Can you take me from my hotel to the airport?
Yes. We cover hotels anywhere on Okinawa's main island to Naha Airport.
Can you transfer me between hotels?
Often yes. For a short transfer that needs a long empty drive to reach you, a minimum fare may apply.
Where do we meet at the hotel?
Normally at the main entrance or the driveway, in a black Alphard.
Can you pick me up from a villa, condominium or vacation rental?
Yes, at the same area-based fares as a hotel transfer. Give us the property name or the address when you book. Where the roads are narrow or the vehicle cannot get close, we may ask you to meet at a nearby point.
Charter & Sightseeing
Do you offer private sightseeing?
Yes. We offer hourly private charters across Okinawa's main island.
Can I decide the itinerary myself?
Yes. You can freely combine the sights, restaurants, hotels, and the airport into your own itinerary.
Can you suggest a sightseeing route?
Yes. Once your booking is confirmed, we suggest routes to suit your hours, starting point, finishing point, and interests. Before booking, we can answer basic questions such as fares, hours, and pickup points.
Can I change the itinerary on the day?
Yes, as long as your hours, the traffic, and opening times allow it.
Will you wait while we look around an attraction?
Yes. Throughout your charter hours the vehicle and driver wait for you, including while you are inside.
Are admission fees included in the fare?
No. Admission fees, activity fees, and meals are paid by you. The fare covers the vehicle, the driver and the waiting time only — sightseeing guiding and interpretation are not included either.
Do I need to pay for the driver's meals?
No, not as a rule. On long charters we may take a short break depending on how the day is going.
Can I extend the hours on the day?
Yes if the day's schedule allows. Extensions are charged in 30-minute units.
When do the charter hours start and end?
From the start time you booked until you arrive at your final destination.
Can we go back to the hotel partway through?
Yes. Within your charter hours you can stop at your hotel or head back for a while.
How many hours do I need for the north of the island?
It depends on where you start and what you visit, but for Churaumi Aquarium, Kouri Island, and Bise from Naha we suggest 8 to 10 hours.
How many hours do I need for the south?
Starting and finishing in Naha, 5 to 7 hours is a good guide for the main sights.
Cruise Passengers
Do you serve the cruise terminal?
Yes. We handle transfers and charters from Naha Port, the Wakasa berth, and the cruise terminal.
Where do we meet at the port?
At the designated pick-up area or meeting point, holding a name board.
What if the ship arrives late?
We follow the ship's arrival and work around it. Depending on our other bookings that day, we may need to shorten the hours or adjust the itinerary.
Will I get back in time to board?
Yes. We check the departure and boarding cut-off times and plan the itinerary to get you back with time to spare.
Service Area
Which areas do you cover?
The whole of Okinawa's main island, including Naha, Onna, Nago, Motobu, Kouri Island, and the southern area.
Can I use your service on Ishigaki or Miyako?
No. We operate only on Okinawa's main island, not on Ishigaki, Miyako, or the other outlying islands.
Can you drive to Kouri Island?
Yes. Kouri Island is reachable by road.
Can you go to Cape Hedo and the Yanbaru area?
Yes, though the drive is long, so you will need to allow enough charter hours.
Can you drive onto a US military base?
No. We do not hold a pass to enter, so we can take you as far as the gate.
Language & Contact
Can you communicate in English?
We communicate in English using translation apps and devices. Our drivers are not fluent English speakers, so please expect straightforward exchanges about the route, pickup points and timing rather than conversation or sightseeing commentary.
What about Chinese or Korean?
We manage using translation devices. For anything complicated, sending it in writing beforehand makes things go more smoothly.
Can I contact you on WhatsApp?
Yes. For customers outside Japan we recommend WhatsApp.
Can I book without a Japanese phone number?
Yes, as long as we can reach you on WhatsApp or by email.
Is the driver a tour guide?
No. We provide private transport and can help plan your route once your booking is confirmed, but the driver is not a nationally licensed guide-interpreter and does not give professional sightseeing commentary. If you would like detailed historical or cultural explanation, please arrange a licensed guide separately.
During Your Ride
Can we stop at a convenience store on the way?
Yes during a charter. On a transfer, only where the time and route allow.
Can we stop for photos?
Yes, anywhere we can pull over safely.

Yes. On longer drives we stop whenever you need to.
Is there Wi-Fi in the vehicle?
Wi-Fi depends on the vehicle and the signal at the time. Please check with us in advance if you need it.
Can I charge my phone?
There are charging points in the vehicle, but they do not fit every connector or cable. Please bring your own cable as well.
What should I do if I leave something behind?
Please contact us as soon as you can on WhatsApp or by email. If we find it, we will arrange how to get it back to you. Any shipping cost is paid by you.
Safe Operation
Do you operate during a typhoon?
We check road conditions, storm warnings, and whether facilities are open, and operate only when it is safe to do so.
What if a road is closed?
We will talk through an alternative route, different places to visit, or a shorter itinerary.
Do we have to wear seatbelts?
Yes. Seatbelts must be worn in every seat.
I get carsick easily. Can you help?
We drive as smoothly as we can, and we can stop for breaks along the way. Please tell us before you set off.
