Onna works as a base for the north
Onna Village runs about 20km along the west coast. On a map it looks like the middle of the island, but we treat it as the north. Churaumi Aquarium is about an hour each way, and Kouri Island and Nakijin Castle Ruins are within the hour too. Naha, meanwhile, is nearly an hour away. Judged by driving time, it belongs with the north.
Because the resort hotels are concentrated here, the usual pattern is "staying in Onna, sightseeing in the north." That saves more than an hour of driving compared with going out and back from Naha, so the same number of hours covers more ground.
Transfer fares split north and south
The airport transfer to Onna has two bands, because the village is more than 20km from end to end.

Heading out from Onna
Guests staying in Onna tend to use a charter in one of three ways.
North (about 6 hours) — Churaumi Aquarium is about an hour each way. Combined with Kouri Island or Nakijin Castle Ruins, six hours is the figure to plan around. The shorter drive compared with Naha leaves more time in the aquarium.
Central (4–5 hours) — American Village and the Yachimun pottery village in Yomitan are 30 to 40 minutes away. A day built around shopping and food fits inside this.
Within the village (4 hours) — Cape Manzamo, Ryukyu Mura and Michi-no-Eki Onna, then back to the hotel. The four-hour minimum covers it.

Charter fares are time-based at ¥7,000 per hour (¥3,500 per additional 30 minutes booked in advance). Extensions made after departure are ¥4,200 per 30 minutes. Admission, expressway tolls and parking are charged at cost. For charters of 6 hours or more we take a 30% deposit when you book, and the balance is paid on the day. Minimum booking times depend on where you start: from 3 hours in the south and central area, 4 hours in Onna Village and 6 hours in the north, and 8 hours for trips that cross between the south and the north. Where a long transfer is involved, the transfer fare for that stretch is the floor for the price.
