SUI TAXI · HALF DAY
Half a day, fully used.
From 3 hours out of Naha | 13 places sorted by time | Toyota Alphard
From 3 hours when you start in Naha, the south or the centre. We can finish at Naha Airport with your luggage still in the car.
Changing the route on the day costs nothing extra. The car has Wi-Fi, USB-C and a power outlet (about the vehicle).
What decides a half day is how long you stay
The first question is almost always how far we can get. In practice the drive matters less than the time you spend once you are out of the car.
Nirai Kanai Bridge is about 40 minutes from Naha. You look out from the viewpoint, take your photos, and you are back in the car in ten or fifteen minutes. Okinawa World sits at a similar distance, but you spend 90 minutes inside it. Pick the first kind and three hours covers three stops. Pick the second and one stop takes half of your time.
So the 13 places below are split by how long you stay, not by where they are. Choosing this way makes the clock predictable.
In Shuri, three places on foot
When there are only three hours, Shuri is usually what we suggest. Tamaudun, the Sonohyan Utaki Stone Gate and the Kinjo stone-paved path all sit around Shuri Castle, close enough that there is barely any driving between them. Three hours covers the round trip from central Naha as well.
Heading south instead means Nanjo. Nirai Kanai Bridge and Chinen Cape are ten minutes apart and 30 minutes each is enough. On that stretch the coastal drive is part of the point.
The north is out of reach in half a day
Churaumi Aquarium is two hours each way from Naha. The driving alone takes four. On a three-hour charter the time runs out before you arrive.
The minimum booking starting in the north is 6 hours in any case, and 10 hours for Yanbaru (Kunigami, Ogimi and Higashi villages). If the north is on your list, set aside a full day rather than half of one. All the destinations are listed on the full-day charter page.
How the hours work out
Three hours Two or three places in Naha or the south. The three Shuri sites fill it on their own. Going down to Nanjo instead gives you Nirai Kanai Bridge and Chinen Cape.
Four hours Three places in the south, or out to the centre for Cape Zanpa or Michi-no-Eki Kadena. Allow around an hour each way to the centre.
Five hours Far enough for Uruma. Crossing the Kaichu Road to Kaho Banta is the usual pairing. It is a little over an hour each way, which is why three hours does not work for it.

Charter fares are time-based at ¥7,000 per hour (¥3,500 per additional 30 minutes booked in advance). Extensions made after departure are ¥4,200 per 30 minutes. Admission, expressway tolls and parking are charged at cost. For charters of 6 hours or more we take a 30% deposit when you book, and the balance is paid on the day. Minimum booking times depend on where you start: from 3 hours in the south and central area, 4 hours in Onna Village and 6 hours in the north, and 8 hours for trips that cross between the south and the north. Where a long transfer is involved, the transfer fare for that stretch is the floor for the price. From 26 December 2026 to 6 January 2027 (New Year holiday period), the minimum charge for charters is ¥56,000.
— Tell us two things first: your flight time and where you are staying. On a departure day we work backwards from when you want to be at the airport, and set the pick-up and the route from there. Your luggage stays in the car.
Frequently asked questions
How many places can we see in half a day?
Two in three hours, three in four hours, three or four in five hours. The number depends on which places you pick, not on the clock alone. Choose only stops you can finish in 30 minutes and three hours covers three of them; choose somewhere that takes an hour and you have time for two.
Can we use it on the morning we fly home?
Yes. We load your luggage at the hotel, visit a few places, and drop you at Naha Airport at the end. You never carry your bags between stops, so the hours after checkout are not wasted. Tell us your flight time and we work backwards from it to set the pick-up.
Can we reach Churaumi Aquarium in half a day?
No. It is two hours each way from Naha, so the drive alone uses four hours, and the aquarium itself deserves 90 minutes. Set aside a full day for the north. The minimum booking is 6 hours starting in the north, and 10 hours for Yanbaru (Kunigami, Ogimi and Higashi villages).
Can we ride before hotel check-in?
Yes. On arrival afternoons we often keep the luggage in the car, tour the south, and finish at your hotel. Leaving the bags at the hotel front desk first works too. Which one suits you depends on what time you land, so we decide on the day.
Can we extend the charter partway through?
You can. Extensions after departure are ¥4,200 per 30 minutes. On days with a later booking we cannot always extend, so if you expect to run long it costs less to book four or five hours from the start. Booked in advance, an extra 30 minutes is ¥3,500.
